Firestorm in Redding – Tales of Survival

On Saturday, October 12th, from 7 – 8:30pm, join us for another in Green Chautauqua’s Climate Change Speaker series as a panel of speakers discuss and give eyewitness accounts of the deadly firestorm tornado in Redding that generated 150 mph winds and killed 8 people, spawned by the Carr fire that burned 229,000 acres and destroyed 1600 structures.  The panel will include Fire Chief Jason Weber of the Marin County Fire Dept., Captain Dean Gilardi, Accident Investigator, Captain Mark Burbank, Engine Captain, and Lizzie Johnson, SF Chronicle Reporter for”150 Minutes of Hell”.  Video and images courtesy of the San Francisco Chronicle.

The event will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 72 Kensington Road, San Anselmo, CA 94960.   A $10 donation is suggested in support of fire relief.   You can see and download the event flyer HERE.
