Community Meeting and Potluck

1ComMtg-180.jpgPlease join us for our Community Meeting and Potluck, Wednesday, Oct. 28th.  Our goal at each  meeting is to inform each other about the climate work we are doing and to enlist the help of our community in supporting actions that will encourage others to join us.  With the COP 21 talks in Paris starting in late November, there is a major action/event scheduled for November 21st that we should talk about and make plans for and another in Marin on November 29th. So come prepared to get active.

Please note:  In keeping with our commitment to a sustainable planet, we're asking folks to bring their own plates and silverware and to label their food. Some paper goods will be available.

Late addition speaker:  Rebecca Burgess of Fibershed has offered to give us a brief description of her vision.  We'll call it "Our Clothes, Carbon, and Climate Change". Both emissions reduction and carbon sequestration are essential projects for bringing down earth's atmospheric carbon levels to 350ppm; we can not achieve our goals without employing both strategies. "By employing new and ancient land management practices, and adding value to farmed and ranched goods that are generated from carbon sequestering soils, we can offset our past and current reliance on the carbon intensive system while developing climate beneficial, place-based & resilient local economies."  Let's help her with this.

Our goal is to work as a community and expand the reach of the message that we need to Act on Climate Now.  Won't you come out and help us with that?  By Rsvping below you help us prepare.
