Black & Blue Friday = Success!

Thanks to all who attended our Black & Blue Friday event at Sweetwater Music Hall. A standing room only crowd enjoyed a great afternoon of inspiring music, poetry and sharing.

Black & Blue Friday

Black Friday may have retailers seeing green, as in dollars, but 350Marin's Black & Blue Friday, a multimedia event at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, was all about keeping the planet green by coming together to combat climate change.

On the biggest shopping day of the year, which 350.org founder Bill McKibben calls "an orgy of getting," a couple hundred people turned out on the day after Thanksgiving for an afternoon of speakers, films, poetry and music. Performers stood on a stage lined with posters with such slogans as "Spend time, not money," "Planet over profit" and "Our future is not for sale."
